The illustrator, Airlie Anderson,
is from Carmel, and graduated from Carmel High School before attending the Rhode Island School of Design.  In 2000, Airlie received her degree in illustration and returned to Carmel where she was introduced to Larry Hayes, looking for an illustrator for his series of books. My Name Starts With A was Airlie’s first published work, and a dream come true for her.  She has finished illustrations for other books in the series, B, C, D, E, J, K, M, R and S and is working on the illustrations for My Name Starts With G in New York where she does other freelance art.
